About Richard
Richard was elected as a Councillor for East Ward in 2022 and was re-elected to Penenden Heath Ward in 2024. A long-time resident of Brewer Street, he is passionate about improving the local area for everyone – as he says, “because I’m one of them!” His deep-rooted connection to the community drives his commitment to making a real difference for East Ward residents.
Local Achievements
- Secured access for residents to approximately 100 additional overnight parking spaces
- Helped deliver improvements to local children’s play areas
- Actively supports initiatives to enhance community facilities and public spaces

Richard currently serves on two Maidstone Borough Council committees:
- Overview and Scrutiny Committee
- Planning, Infrastructure and Economic Development Committee
