Simon was elected to represent Loose and Linton Ward in May 2024. Actively involved in local issues, he regularly works on matters relating to highways, planning, and parking. A strong community advocate, Simon is deeply engaged with local organisations and brings a practical, compassionate approach to his role.

Local Involvement

  • Attends Loose and Linton Parish Council meetings to stay closely connected with community concerns
  • Trustee of the Linton Almshouses, supporting local housing needs
  • Trustee of Citizens Advice Maidstone, helping residents access vital services
  • Committee member of Making a Dementia Friendly Maidstone, promoting inclusivity and support for residents living with dementia

  • Active member of the Maidstone–Beauvais Twinning Association, helping to strengthen cultural and civic ties between the two towns
  • Speaks fluent French – his modern languages degree is a valuable asset in twinning activities and international engagement
  • Volunteer guide with the National Trust at both Stoneacre and Sissinghurst Castle Garden
