Chris Passmore

Chris moved to Maidstone in the 1960s and returned in 1987 after leaving the navy to join his family’s printing business. He started his own business 18 years ago, helping companies in Kent with their quality, environmental and safety needs. He works with his son and daughter-in-law and has eight employees. Outside of work, Chris has been a school governor, led a youth group at church and organised training events on printing and HR. He loves sailing, and can frequently be seen cycling round Maidstone.

Chris has had a lifelong interest in politics and started actively supporting the local Liberal Democrats in 2019. Following the sad death of Dan Daley, Chris was elected County Councillor for Maidstone Central Division in 2023. He is known for working hard on important issues raised by local residents. He has also had a leading role in the Village Green application on Bunyards Farm to the southeast of Barming station as well as opposing the extension of the quarry into Oaken Woods.
