Road works: Brunswick Street, Maidstone


To allow water connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made
an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Brunswick Street,
Maidstone.

A closure is planned from 13th January 2020, with estimated completion by 17th
January 2020, or where stated on a valid Permit (EB00620114479 - South East
Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signage
on site and the works will be displayed on one.network


Brunswick Street will be closed in the general vicinity of number 34, to the
extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.


The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while water
main connection works are undertaken by South East Water.


The alternative route for any through traffic is via Priory Road, Knightrider
Street, Mill Street, Palace Avenue, Lower Stone Street and onto Upper Stone
Street.


Access for emergency service vehicles and pedestrians will be maintained at all
times during the closure.


Due to the nature of these works, it will not be possible to reopen the road
outside of working hours.
