Heath Ward

There have been many housing developments in the area and we are losing many of our open spaces to the ever-increasing house building.  Not being able to stop the development, we can only work to get the best outcomes for our community.

Both councillors are concerned about the failing infrastructure and do our best to improve this where we can.

We are also concerned about the amount of traffic moving through the ward and the pollution this is causing to the detriment of the residents.  We hope that the KCC proposed junction improvement at Tonbridge Road and Fountain Lane will improve this.

After many years, we have finally been successful in getting pedestrian traffic controls at the lights outside the Rocking Robin pub.  We have also been able to get warning signals outside the school in Queens Road.  We have been successful in getting improvements to the play areas and the safe keeping of the cemetery at Oakapple Lane.  There are now footpaths around Barming Heath, making it safer for the residents.

We will continue to work for the safety and wellbeing of the residents in the ward.
