Dan was born in London and was in company administration in relation to international Freight services and is a ‘Freeman of the City of London’. He is an excellent writer and communicator.
After moving to Maidstone, he joined the Borough Council and has been a Councillor for 30 years including seven years as Leader of the council and Mayor of Maidstone. He was subsequently elected on to Kent County Council in 2001 and is delighted to have been selected to stand again in May.
He has successfully undertaken numerous lead roles in both Councils including, Environment, Highways, Culture and Leisure and is currently on the Health Reform and Public Health Cabinet Committee at County Hall. He has been a member of many external bodies, charities and trusts and is currently a Lead Member of the Kent and Medway Fire Authority and is a Trustee of Allington Millennium Green Trust amongst others.
Dan commented, “My main aim has always been to help improve the surroundings and environment in which we live while supporting local residents. I will always be committed and hope you will continue to put your trust in me to continue as one of your County Councillors .
