Footpath Missing link KB14 to KB15 in Tovil - This was initially delayed because of the possibility of development on the old tip site for housing, but officers can now progress the agreement between MBC and KCC to allow it to proceed.
Hayle Park Development – We are continuing to work with MBC at the request of local residents to agree areas of the development which will be taken over by MBC and KCC, for long term maintenance, and to establish long term responsibility in relation to the Drainage Lagoon. MBC Planning enforcement team have agreed with Taylor Wimpey that all outstanding planting will be completed during the current planting season.
Additional yellow lines to Armstrong Road (+ Postley Road to the dog bin) - The revised proposals to improve road safety went out for public consultation and received no objections. Permission for yellow line work to both Enterprise Road, which was previously approved, and Armstrong Road can now be undertaken.
YMCA, Courtenay Road – The new £1.2m Community building in Courtenay Road supported by Golding Homes and the Tovil Parish Council is now complete and handed over to the YMCA for fitting out. When it opens it is intended to support facilities for the local community and in particular for preschool, sports activities and social groups.
Church Street – width restrictions are now in place.
